ANNOUNCEMENTS:

For 2023, the Huntingdon County Planning Commission received and reviewed eight applications for Act 13 funding.  Their recommendations were approved by the Huntingdon County Commissioners on April 25, 2023. Funding awards include:

$3,273.00 - Commercial Garbage Cans for Woodcock Valley Community Park, Walker Township 

$6,727.00 - Table Upgrade for Community Outdoor Activity Pavilion, Three Springs Borough 

$10,000.00 - Backstop and Fence Replacement, Petersburg Borough

$10,000.00 - Community Building Renovation: Phase 2, Broad Top City Borough

2024 Funding Round - Applications Due April 12, 2024

The Huntingdon County Commissioners are pleased to extend this invitation for grant applications under Pennsylvania’s Act 13 Marcellus Legacy Fund.  It is the County Commissioner’s intent to make funds available to all municipalities in Huntingdon County.  These funds are available for projects that comply with the PA Act 13 of 2012, Section 2315(a.1)(5). 

Under Act 13 of 2012, the Huntingdon County Commissioners have received an amount of funds from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that will be made available for application by municipalities for eligible projects allowable under Act 13.  

On January 23, 2024, the Huntingdon County Commissioners approved another round of Act 13 funding.  Under this new round, $30,000 will be made available for eligible projects, with a maximum award of $10,000 given per project.  A 6% administration fee will be withheld from each selected project.

All applications are due no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2024 in the office of the County Planning & Development Department, Courthouse Annex I, 205 Penn Street, Suite 3, Huntingdon, PA  16652.  Late submissions will not be accepted.  

Points are awarded for participating in one of two workshops scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, February 26 and 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27.
