WALKER TOWNSHIP CLEAN-UP DAY

****Walker Township Residents Only****

Saturday, April 30 and Saturday, October 15, 2011

from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, at

Woodcock Valley Community Park, Ward Street, McConnellstown. 

Items will not be accepted prior to 8:00 a.m. or after the closing time.

The following items will NOT be accepted:

                Tires,                                         Any appliances containing freon,

                Propane tanks,                        Hazardous chemicals,

                Car batteries,                          Demolition/construction waste,

                Yard waste,                             Paint, paint thinner, paint cans.

                Motor oil,                          

YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY IF YOU BRING ANY OF THESE ITEMS!!

There will be special box for metal items so that they can be recycled.

Household recycling can be taken to the 24-hour drop-off box service located

 at the Smithfield Twp. building or at the post office in Marklesburg. 

There is also a curbside recycling program for the immediate McConnellstown area, and nothing that can be recycled through this program will be collected during clean up day.
