The 2022 reorganizational meeting and January 2022 regular monthly meeting of the Township Supervisors will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The Township Auditor's will hold their reorganizational meeting on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, beginning at 7:00 p.m. 

The regular monthly meetings of the Township Supervisors for 2022 will be held on the first Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:00 p.m., unless advertised otherwise.

The regular monthly workshop meetings of the Township Supervisors for 2022, will be held on the third Tuesday of every month, beginning at 5:30 p.m., unless advertsided otherwise.

The Township Planning Committee meetings for 2022 will be held on the last Tuesday of every month, beginning at 7:00 p.m., provided there is an agenda to address.



The Smithfield Township Supervisors have designated Halloween - Trick or Treat Night - to be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.  Anyone who wishes to have costumed visitors is asked to turn on a porch light.

FALL LEAF PICK UP PROGRAM - Beginning October 17, 2022

Beginning Monday, October 17th, for all Township Residents - The Annual Fall Leaf Pick Up program will run on Monday A.M. only from Monday, October 17th through Monday, November 21st.  November 21st will be the last pick up day for the year.  Pick up time will be first thing in the morning on Monday mornings only.  All leaves must be put in a paper leaf bag and be placed at the edge of your property near the street - bags will NOT be picked up if they are not in a leaf bag and not at the edge of the property.



The November 2nd meeting of the Township Supervisors has been rescheduled since the Township Building is a voting location.  The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on November 16th.  

2021 FALL DROP OFF - Beginning October 16, 2021

Beginning Saturday, October 16th, for all Township Residents - Yard Waste, grass clippings, small tree branches and limbs can be taken to the Townships' Dry Dam located behind the M.A.T. Plaza.  This will be available for six (6) consecutive Saturdays  - October 16th, October 23rd, October 30th, November 6th, November 13th, and November 20th.  Hours of operation are 8 a.m. until 12:00 Noon.  Photo I.D. (Drivers Licenses) will be checked at the gate.


2021 CLEAN UP DAYS - May 7th & 8th, 2021

Clean-Up Days for Township Residents Only will be held on Friday, May 7th – from 12:30 p.m. to dusk & Saturday, May 8th – from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon).  The following items WILL NOT be acceptedRefrigerators, air conditioners, motor oil, flammable gas cylinders, liquid paint or solvents, home remodeling residue, freezers, tires, hazardous chemicals, batteries, yard waste, lumber, brush, skids, auto parts, normal garbage, and demolition waste. No E-Waste of any kind: TV’s, computers, computer keyboards, screens, printers, etc. ​​ Senior Citizens and Handicapped Persons needing help should call the Municipal Building at 814-643-6702 NO LATER than Noon on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
