Snow & Ice Removal
Huntingdon Borough residents are reminded that snow and ice must be cleared from sidewalks within 24 hours after a snowfall. The property owner is responsible and will be fined if found in violation. No individual reminders by phone or letter will be given. Failure to remove snow and ice from the sidewalks after 24 hours will result in a $25.00 fine; after 48 hours the fine is $50.00; after 72 hours the fine is $75.00 and after 96 hours the fine is $100.00. The borough asks that everyone pay attention to this ordinance and remove their snow in a timely manner.
It is unlawful for any person to dispose of snow and/or ice by depositing it into a traffic lane of a borough street. Caution: Watch where your snow blower is
aimed! A $75.00 fine applies.
