Subdivision and Land Development (SALD) Plan Review
Section 502 of the PA Municipalities Planning Code gives the Planning Commission authority to review and comment on subdivision and land development proposals submitted to local municipalities. The Commission also comments on consistency with Act 537, the PA Sewage Facilities Act. Data on subdivisions and land developments received for review is available in the County Planning Commission's Annual Report.
The County Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. Until COVID-19 meeting restrictions are lifted, meetings will be held via Zoom. Please contact the Planning & Development Department at 814-643-5091 for information to participate in meetings of the County Planning Commission.
A Ten Step Plan Submission Process was created to assist property owners with the subdivision and land development process. The County Planning Commission's policy for reviewing subdivision and land developments is outlined in their adopted Review Policy. This Policy was last revised in June 2014 and is under review in 2021.
The County Subdivision and Land Development Application available online also contains the review fee schedule. Effective May 1, 2021, use of the March 18, 2021 revision of this Application is required. Placement of the Huntingdon County Review Certificate is also required on plans submitted for review. See Related Links to the right for information regarding the Review Certificate.
